STEP Grants
Eligibility: Faculty or staff
Award: Up to $140,000+
Allowable Uses: Technological equipment and infrastructure that directly benefits students and enhances instruction
Due: July 15 (fall cycle) and January 15 (spring cycle)
Application Materials: Email proposal to stepproposal@louisiana.edu (guidelines will be posted on the STEP website)
Reviewed by: Initial review by Dean, then STEP Council: University Chief Information Officer, SGA Vice President, all SGA College Presidents, the University Provost or their designee, the University Vice President of Student Affairs or their designee, and the Director of Disability Services or their designee
Faculty Learning Community Facilitator Stipend
Eligibility: Ideal candidates will be QM Certified faculty with significant experience teaching hybrid or online courses
Award: $1,200
Allowable Uses: To improve student learning and collaborate across disciplines – form group of up to 8 faculty and meet monthly during an academic year and produce deliverables (ex. seminars, retreats, conference presentations, teaching projects, applications for new course designs, white papers, resource pages, webinars, Moodle resource courses, surveys, videos, blogs, vlogs, podcasts, infographics, grant applications, publications)
Due: Call for applications will be posted on the ODL website; early fall

Reviewed by: Representatives from the Office of Distance Learning
Course Design & Improvement Stipend
Eligibility: Ideal candidates will be QM Certified faculty with significant experience teaching hybrid or online courses
Award: $3000 for design or redesign; $1000 for improvement
Allowable Uses:
- Course design
- Course redesign
- Course improvement
Due: Rolling deadline (contact department head to apply)
