How to Declare Major or Minor and Drop a Class

If you need to declare your major OR change your major to another Liberal Arts discipline

OR

If you need to drop a course

OR

If you need to declare your minor

AND

You have earned 60 hours or more

Please include:

1. Name
2. Student C number
3. Explain how our office can help; provide as much information as you are able

NOTE: During the semester advising period, all requests will take up to three full business days to process. Students will see the change updated on Degree Works.

Non-Liberal Arts majors need to make minor requests directly through the dean's office of your college.

If you have earned 59 hours or fewer, you should contact the Academic Success Center at Lee Hall, Room 115 (success@louisiana.edu).
