				JACOB HIRSCH MEMORIAL ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP Contact: Scholarship Coordinator, Communication P.O. Box 43650 Lafayette, LA 70504-3650 Must be a U. S. citizen and a Louisiana resident. Students must be eligible to enter their sophomore or junior year and have a 3.0 GPA majoring in Mass Communication/ Broadcasting. Scholarship pays $500 per year for two semesters. Requires a 3.0 minimum GPA during Fall semester of scholarship year to retain scholarship. THE CALVIN J. LEAR MEMORIAL NON-ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP Contact: Scholarship Coordinator, Communication P.O. Box 43650 Lafayette, LA 70504-3650 Must be a U. S. citizen and a Louisiana resident. Students must be eligible to enter their junior, senior or graduate year and have a 3.0 GPA majoring in Mass Communication with a concentration in Journalism. Scholarship pays $500 per year for two semesters. Requires a 3.0 minimum GPA during Fall semester of scholarship year to retain scholarship. DR. RONALD RICH MEMORIAL ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP Contact: Scholarship Coordinator, Communication Faculty P.O. Box 43650 Lafayette, LA 70504-3650 Must be majoring in Mass Communication; be eligible to enter his/her senior year and must have a minimum of a 3.0 cumulative GPA. Scholarship is awarded twice a year to a senior for the Fall semester and be a graduating senior in Spring semester. Scholarship pays $500 annually for two semesters; $250 Fall and $250 Spring. Requires a 3.0 GPA during Fall semester of scholarship year to retain scholarship. ROY D. MURPHY ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP Contact: UL Lafayette Scholarship Office Web Site: http://admissions.Louisiana.edu/scholarships/ First-time freshman majoring in Communication. High school seniors must be eligible to apply for the UL Lafayette Academic Scholarship. SPEECH & DEBATE TEAM SCHOLARSHIP Contact: Scholarship Coordinator, Communication Faculty P.O. Box 43650 Lafayette, LA 70504-3650 Must be a member of the Speech & Debate Team and have completed or be registered for CMCN 322 (Competitive Forensive) during the semester of the award. Student must have a 3.0 cumulative GPA with a 2.5 minimum GPA. Scholarship is awarded in the Freshman year. Scholarship pays $500 for one semester.
