Guide to Minor Concentrations
Interdisciplinary and Special Minors
Communication (Online option)
 
 
The minor requires 18 hours of CMCN coursework. At least 6 of the 18 hours must be completed at the 300 or 400 level.

NOTE! It is possible (but not required) to earn all 18 hours of a general communication minor (including at least 6 hrs. at the 300/400 level) through online classes. The minor may be earned by taking courses in a classroom and/or online.
 
The following courses are regularly offered ONLINE and applied to the minor. At least 6 of the 18 required hours must be earned at the 300/400 level:
 
  • CMCN 170 - Media & Society
  • CMCN 210 - Interpersonal Communication
  • CMCN 301 - Principles of Organizational Cmcn
  • CMCN 384 - Communication Theory
  • CMCN 352 - Scriptwriting
  • CMCN 374 - Cultural History of Film
  • CMCN 448 - Trends in 21st Century Communication
  • CMCN 470 - Intercultural Commuication
